Through Student Wellbeing Programs in Schools
Today's teenage girls are navigating a world full of noise. Academic pressure, social media, body image expectations, friendship dramas-the list goes on. And while they’re doing their best to hold it all together, the cracks are showing. Recent stats from the Australian Bureau of Statistics tell us that almost one in four young women aged 16–24 are living with a mental health disorder. And those are just the ones we know about. But here’s the flip side: schools can be one of the most powerful places for change. The Australian Student Wellbeing Framework highlights how whole-school approaches can nurture resilience and social-emotional learning. When we show up with empathy, create space for real conversations, and offer tools for self-awareness, something shifts. This page is about that shift-how we can walk alongside young women as they build strength, connection and a sense of self that’s unshakable.
Teenage girls are emotional powerhouses-but that power can feel overwhelming without the right tools. At Tomorrow Woman, we give young women the space to tune into what’s going on inside and develop emotional awareness that goes beyond the surface, a core part of our Wellbeing Programs for Schools. This focus on emotional literacy reflects evidence-based approaches supported by organisations like Beyond Blue, which champion youth wellbeing across Australia..
Friendships matter-deeply. But for many girls, connection comes wrapped in comparison, gossip, or pressure to fit in. Our programs unpack all that and get to the heart of what makes real relationships thrive.
Building a web of support – Connection to each other. To trusted adults. To themselves.
Young women are driven, capable and ambitious. But when success is tied only to marks and performance, burnout comes knocking. These practical strategies to support student wellbeing help girls balance ambition with self-care and redefine what success looks like.
Our approach helps students reframe what success looks like.
Spotting the signs of overload – We help girls catch the early signs of stress and take action before it spirals.
From filters to fitness trends, girls are bombarded with messages about how they should look. We’re here to help them rewrite that narrative-from the inside out.
These aren’t just buzzwords-they’re real, lived experiences for many young women. Our work helps girls feel less alone in it.
Mood changes, withdrawal, perfectionism-we help teachers and peers notice what matters.
Problem-solving, reframing, support-seeking-all things we teach in the room.
We don’t shy away from hard topics. We help girls feel safe to speak.
Counsellors, wellbeing leads, teachers-we show how it all connects.
Bullying today doesn’t stop at the school gate. Our digital and relational worlds collide-and young women are often caught in the crossfire.
We teach girls to recognise relational aggression and cyberbullying.
Not just how to stay safe-but how to stay empowered,
We help build cultures of respect from the inside out.
Resilience isn’t just about “bouncing back.” It’s about knowing you can handle whatever comes your way-even if it knocks you sideways first. Our Sport Programs help young women build mental strength, teamwork, and self-awareness both on and off the field.
Voice is power. We help girls find theirs-and use it with confidence and care.
Parents and educators don’t have to do this alone. Tomorrow Woman provides tools, workshops and real-world strategies that help adults support the girls in their lives.

It takes more than good intentions to support young women’s wellbeing. It takes brave conversations, evidence-informed tools, and a commitment to challenging the status quo. That’s where Tomorrow Woman comes in.We’re here to partner with schools that want to do more than tick a box. Together, we can create spaces where girls feel seen, supported, and strong enough to write their own story.Want to learn more about our student workshops, teacher PDs or parent sessions?
