respectful relationships
programs for
young women

Tomorrow Woman’s Student Program invites young women to pause, reflect, and explore what it truly means to build respectful, supportive relationships.

Grounded in the principles of Respect Matters, consent education, and the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) framework, our workshops help students in Years 9–12 develop empathy, emotional intelligence, and stronger self-awareness.

Through honest conversation and practical learning, participants learn to challenge gender expectations, communicate with confidence, and cultivate respect for themselves and the people around them.

Supporting
Respectful
Relationships education for girls

Our student wellbeing programs for female students are designed around the four key learning dimensions of the Australian Curriculum: Respect Matters and the Victorian Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) framework. Each module is carefully sequenced to help young women recognise their values, strengthen communication, and practise empathy in real-life contexts. Alongside curriculum-aligned outcomes, we also focus on social and emotional learning to support students in developing self-awareness, confidence, and care for others.

1. UNDERSTANDING RESPECT

Respect begins with awareness -  valuing differences, recognising fairness, and understanding how our words and actions affect others. Young women learn to appreciate their own boundaries while respecting those of the people around them.

2. RELATIONSHIP SKILLS

Building and maintaining positive relationships requires empathy, self-regulation, and clear communication. Through practical activities, students learn how to express themselves confidently and respond to others with kindness and understanding.

3. EVALUATING OPTIONS

Decision-making plays a vital role in creating respectful environments. Participants explore how to assess choices, navigate peer influence, and make informed, values-based decisions that support their wellbeing and integrity.

4. RESPECTFUL ACTIONS

Respect comes to life through action. In this module, young women practise taking positive, safe, and inclusive actions, both individually and collectively,  to support themselves and others in their communities.

Why do you run workshops?

Suicide continues to be the biggest killer of young Australians, with almost one-fifth of all young people aged 11 to 17 years experiencing high or very high levels of psychological distress.

For many teenagers in Australia, the pressures from mainstream media, social platforms, family, peers, and the opposite sex can be confusing and overwhelming. These conflicting messages and expectations can have a huge impact on rising rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide.

In a time where gender roles are constantly expanding and evolving, there is a need for dynamic, facilitated environments where stories, experiences, and concerns can be expressed without judgment or limitations.
