Growing up as the eldest of three sisters in the UK, Steph always had an innate sense of care for others, an empathetic intuition and an independent spirit. These traits eventually led her to travel the world to learn from and experience new places and cultures. It was a curiosity for people and life that brought Steph to Australia.
While her journey here began in the fashion industry, leading a creative team at Cotton On, her path took a detour. After taking a two-year career break to explore Canada and the USA, a pull towards purpose led her to Tomorrow Woman. She landed a role temporarily supporting the marketing team and fell in love with the organisation and its people. Quickly, she transitioned into a full-time role as a marketing coordinator.
Throughout her life, Steph has struggled to use her voice in challenging or potentially confrontational situations, a trait she observed in many of the women around her. Witnessing her family members and friends wrestle with societal stereotypes and expectations ignited a passion within her. Joining Tomorrow Woman, she was deeply impacted by the resilience displayed in the workshops, as women confronted societal challenges head-on. These experiences have inspired her and given her immense hope for positive change.
In her spare time, you'll most likely find Steph barefoot in a veggie patch with a warm cup of tea. If not there, then she’s likely cozied up in “the book nook" in her living room, where she enjoys a good read, cuddled up with her dog, Argo.
