Tomorrow Woman and Tomorrow Man acknowledge that our offices are on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nations.
Having navigated the complexities of attending an all-girls high school, Rosie felt the weight of societal pressures to be the ‘perfect woman’ (spoiler- it doesn’t exist). Experiencing mental health struggles from a young age, she knows firsthand what it's like to grapple with self-doubt and the feeling of not being "enough."
Growing up in a family where mental health was openly discussed, Rosie was fortunate to have strong role models who emphasised the importance of being honest and open about their challenges. From a young age, she learned the transformative power of sharing and embracing vulnerability. And whilst it took Rosie a while to feel courageous enough to speak up and ask for support from those around her, it’s what has led to her passion for wanting to encourage others to have the skills and the tools to do so earlier in their lives.
Driven by her passion, Rosie studied psychology at Macquarie University, aiming to empower others to lead more authentic lives. After graduating, she managed a social program for adults with disabilities, fostering community involvement, independence, and personal autonomy.
For Rosie, the key to empowering young people, especially young women, lies in connecting them not only to themselves but also to each other. Rosie is constantly challenging her own limiting beliefs, not afraid to admit that the journey is never over, and aspires to be a positive influence for others looking to do the same.
Outside of work, you'll find Rosie in her happy place—the ocean—where she spends most of her time surfing (and/or falling off the surfboard) and swimming. When she's not at the beach you'll likely find her cozied up on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea, or immersed in a knitting project.
