Tomorrow Woman and Tomorrow Man acknowledge that our offices are on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nations.
Struggling through her teenage years with anxiety, self-doubt, and a battle with bulimia, Anita has transformed the learnings from her own transition into womanhood to help young women in their own journey.
Her experience was daunting; the crippling anxiety and body image issues were amplified by an environment where mental health was never a topic of discussion. Despite being surrounded by praises, the battles within were the loudest.
The turning point was the discovery of meditation. It gave her the grounding she needed. Anita then embarked on a journey of education and self-discovery, earning an Arts Degree majoring in History and Media from La Trobe University, a Certificate III in Youth Work, and a Diploma of Youth Work from RMIT. Her curiosity for healing also led her to complete Yoga Teacher Training with Power Living Australia.
In her desire to make a difference, Anita became a mental health support worker, encountering a spectrum of struggles and realising the prevalence of mental health issues.
Her journey did not stop there. Fuelled by her commitment to the cause, Anita is a valued member of the Tomorrow Woman team, fulfilling her vision of working with young women and breaking the silence around mental health.
By sharing her story, she has woven a tapestry of hope and support, creating a space for open dialogue and healing. Today, she stands as a testament to the transformative power of sharing and support, committed to making a difference in the lives of those who are silently struggling.
A lover of swimming, cappuccinos (so 90s!) and a connoisseur of 'Nordic crime dramas', she also has a soft spot for turtlenecks, a must-have in Melbourne's winters.
